1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpecBuilder.ai (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

SpecBuilder.ai is a web platform that helps developers and builders validate ideas, clarify requirements through guided questioning, and automatically generate documentation for AI coding agents. The Service includes spec generation, document management, sharing, and quotation workflows.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including project ideas, specifications, and generated documents. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers) beyond normal API usage
• Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account

6. Subscription and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Free tier users may be subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page.

7. AI-Generated Content

Documents generated by the Service are produced using third-party AI models. While we strive for accuracy and quality, generated content is provided “as is” and should be reviewed before use. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Third-Party Integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Google). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpecBuilder.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted.
